@yourside Dundee - Support for Recovery & Inclusion

Who we are

Breaking Cycles. Building Futures.
We’re @yourside, a charity supporting people affected by offending and substance use, particularly where other challenges are making life more difficult.

We understand that offending and substance use are rarely isolated issues. People may also be dealing with homelessness, poverty, mental health difficulties, unemployment, relationship problems, isolation or difficulties accessing the support they need.

Our team is made up of staff and volunteers with a range of experience and backgrounds. We bring that experience to our work, but most importantly, we take the time to listen to the people we support and understand what is happening in their lives.

We don’t make assumptions about people or define them by their past. We work with people to understand what they want to change and what support might help them get there.

Our aim is simple: to help people address the issues that can contribute to offending and substance use, reduce the risk of further offending and support people to move towards more stable and positive futures.

What we do

We believe change happens when people feel heard, supported, and valued. Our work focuses on practical help, trusted relationships, and creating opportunities for people to move forward.

Drop in

Our twice-weekly drop-in creates a safe & welcoming space where participants can access advice, information, practical support, and connection. Whether someone needs help navigating services, a conversation over a coffee, or simply a place to feel heard, the door is always open.

Tuesday and Saturday 10am - 1pm

Dundee Congregational Church Hall

5 Nicol St, Dundee, DD1 1LU (Just off Ward Rd)

Responsive1-1 Support

Our 1-1 support is built differently. There are no waiting lists, no assigned worker, and no strict 9–5 approach. We work collaboratively as a team to build trusted relationships with participants, allowing us to respond quickly, flexibly, and in ways that genuinely meet people where they are.

Group Activities

Our group work is shaped by the people who attend. Activities are developed through participant requests and interests, helping build confidence, routine, creativity, and connection. From walking groups and cooking sessions to drawing and creative activities, our groups create opportunities for people to come together, learn new skills, and support one another.
